DAGUPAN CITY--The city’s 12 Health Stations are now equipped with basic medical apparatus to be used by them in rendering basic health services to the people in the barangays.
This after the different barangay health workers stationed in the 12 Barangay Health Stations received from Mayor Belen T. Fernandez blood pressure (BP) apparatus, glucometer kits and nebulizers on December 22.
At least 39 of the 56 BP apparatus came from the office of Senator Teofisto Guingona, the 12 nebulizers from civic leader Ashok Vasandani while the 13 glucometer kits and the remaining BP apparatus came from the Department of Health (DOH).
“We are grateful to our generous donors for their trust and confidence in our Alagang Balon Dagupan program, one components of which is to cater to the basic medical needs of our people right in their barangays,” said Fernandez.
Dr. Sheila Sabado, officer-in-charge of the City Health Office (CHO), disclosed that the barangay health stations given these medical apparatus are located in Carael, Pantal, Poblacion Oeste, Bonuan Boquig, Bonuan Binloc, Bonuan Gueset, Bolosan, Salapingao, Malued, Mangin, Mayombo and Pogo Grande.
“These barangay health stations are open daily and will be manned by our barangay health workers,” said Sabado.
Under the Alagang Balon Dagupan program, the city health office regularly conducts free medical missions in these 12 barangay health stations twice a month. (Joseph C. Bacani/CIO/Dec. 23, 2015)
