DAGUPAN CITY – Bangusine, one of the highlights of the Bangus Festival Celebration, will have a new twist this year as it will feature family recipes when it will be held on April 25 at the city plaza.
New recipes and ways how to cook the tastiest fish in the world had been showcased yearly through this event and for this year Bangusine aims to showcase the traditional family recipes using Bangus as main ingredient. Recipes that bring fond memories of Dagupeños who love to dine with their family, talking about life, past and future.
For this particular event, every barangay can only send one entry with a brief story behind the recipe. One recipe will be selected as “best family recipe”.
Participants are allowed to bring with them cooking utensils though the Bangus Festival Executive Committee will be providing the needed ingredients, stove and liquefied petroleum gas.
Each entry will be judged according to the history/story of the recipe, which is 30 percent; originality, 30 percent; taste, 20 percent; and presentation, 20 percent.
All participants will receive certificates of participation but the “best family recipe” will receive P5,000. (Joseph C. Bacani/CIO/March 27, 2018)
