DAGUPAN CITY – The city’s platinum fun run dubbed as ‘Batik Ulupan’, first scheduled on June 10, has been moved earlier to June 9 starting from the bridge fronting the National Bureau of Investigation building onto the CSI helipad along the Jose de Venecia Expressway Extension.
Assembly time will commence at 4:30 in the morning at the bridge where zumba instructors will first perk up everyone’s energy before the fun run.
Under the plan, there will be three waves of runners who will be joining the unity run.
The first wave will be composed of all children from public schools, the second wave will be high school students and the third wave will be composed of adults including college students.
Children must be accompanied by their parents in running as a mandatory requirement before the children will be allowed to participate.
Three water and command stations will be strategically located along the way to attend to the needs of the participants. An ambulance will also be on standby.
However, runners are advised to bring with them their personal water tumbler as there may be no water cups available for everyone.
The De Venecia Expressway Extension will be closed from 12:00 o’clock midnight and will open only at 9:00 a.m. after the event.
Dry-fit t-shirts will be made available on the day of the fun run. Each shirt is pegged at P150.00.
