DAGUPAN CITY – At least 48 Dagupeños received financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) on February 22.
Each beneficiary from 11 barangays received P32,336 after they were identified as among those greatly affected during the onslaught of Typhoon ‘Ompong’ last year.
Those with totally damaged houses were from Barangays Bonuan Gueset, Boquig, Caraael, Caranglaan, Poblacion Oeste, Lucao, Pogo Grande, Tapuac, Tebeng, Salapingao, Bolosan.
Meanwhile, at least 17 beneficiaries from DSWD’s previous Emergency Shelter Assistance who were affected by Typhoon ‘Inday’ and tropical depression ‘Josie’ also received P11,165 each.
Each beneficiary were identified with the help of Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (BDRRMCs) and the city’s Quick Response Team. (Verdelle De Vera/CIO)
