MBTF RECEIVES FINAL COPY OF HLURB’S RESOLUTION APPROVING DAGUPAN’S CLUP

DAGUPAN CITY – The Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) of Dagupan is already final and executory as gleaned from a copy of the resolution of the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) received on July 25 by the office of Mayor Belen T. Fernandez.

Received by the office of the City Mayor was the transmitted copy of HLURB’s resolution approving the CLUP and Zoning Ordinance of the city last May 3, 2017.

A letter dated July 11 and duly signed by Lloyd Christopher A. Lao, chief executive officer and commissioner of HLURB, transmitted the resolution.

Attached to this were the certified true copies of Resolution No. R-945 Series of 2016, textual report, zoning overlay tsunami hazard map, zoning overlay flood hazard map, zoning overlay liquefaction hazard map, zoning overlay storm surge hazard map, proposed new land use 2015-2025 and proposed zoning map 2015-2025.

The resolution noted that the city was in compliance with national standards and guidelines on Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Zoning Ordinance formulation and has mainstreamed climate change and disaster risk reduction in the city’s land use plan, zoning ordinance, programs and projects.

The city’s CLUP and Zoning Ordinance has been reviewed and recommended for approval by the Regional Land Use Committee-Region 1, an inter-agency committee with HLURB as a member and the same (CLUP and Zoning Ordinance) was also approved by the city council on June 7, 2016 and June 21, 2016 respectively.
