FOODKARTS FOR LIFE

The first 25 of the 100 foodkarts from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in partnership with the city government were formally turned-over to 4Ps beneficiaries in the city who underwent training on food processing with simple accounting during the flag raising ceremony at the city plaza on April 24. DSWD, DAGUPAN GIVE 100 FOODKARTS TO BENEFICIARIES OF 4PS

 

DAGUPAN CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in partnership with the city government is giving at least 100 foodkarts to 4Ps beneficiaries under the Sustainable Livelihood Program of the government for beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

 

The first 25 of the 100 foodkarts were formally turned-over to the beneficiaries who underwent training on food processing with simple accounting during the flag raising ceremony at the city plaza on April 24.

 

The beneficiaries were also provided with kitchen wares and food ingredients to start-off with their business.

 

Harold M. Fernandez, city link-4ps Dagupan, disclosed that the second batch of 50 food karts will be released on the 28th of April and the remaining 25 karts will follow.

 

The turn-over was witnessed by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez and Congressman Christopher De Venecia along with the different department and division heads of the city.

 

De Venecia, in his message, advised the beneficiaries to keep-going if life is difficult for them at times even as he assured them that together with Mayor Belen, they will never stop finding ways to help find them livelihood opportunities.
